You run projects end-to-end: stakeholders, scope, budget, pace, ship on time. You push for velocity and clarity over process and ceremony. You feed back honestly to the people building the tools.

Youâre curious, adaptable, and excited that project delivery is changing in real time.
This isnât a shepherd-the-handoffs role. Principal Product Manager leads data platform strategy and roadmap, partnering with engineering and analytics teams to build infrastructure that accelerates development velocity across the organization.
Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy.
Our focus is on building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: building the businesses they love. Advanced Analytics Platform â The offline data infrastructure serving data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams company-wide. Youâll create reusable data primitives that scale across the organization, eliminating redundant work and unlocking new analytical capabilities.
What Youâll Do Your mission is to identify high-leverage opportunities where thoughtful platform investments can meaningfully accelerate development velocity across Toast. Rather than building one-off solutions, youâll craft general-purpose capabilities that multiply the productivity of dozens of teams.
Youâll partner with a diverse set of stakeholders, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, backend engineers, product analysts, engineering managers, and fellow product managers, to understand their needs, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver platform features that create exponential value.
The Impact In this role, your decisions will determine how efficiently hundreds of engineers can work and how quickly Toast can innovate for our customers. Youâll be building the infrastructure that makes everything else possible.
A day in the life (Responsibilities)
